We’ve all heard the several reports regarding Craig MacTavish getting an interview for the Winnipeg Head Coaching job. Late tonight a new favourite could be emerging, that is Chicago assistant coach Mike Haviland. Reasoning why he could be the favourite is he has worked closely with new general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff for the past three seasons, and of course the two have won a Stanley Cup together last season. As we move long we’ll hear more names, likely Brad McCrimmon, Ken Hitchcock, Michel Therrien, and two members of the current coaching staff, both Craig Ramsay and John Torchetti will be interviews as well. We could know as soon as next Friday who will be hired to lead the team behind the bench.
